Which Platform is Best for your Business?

You have to choose the platform that best fits your brand and kind of audience. You have to evaluate the platforms and see which is the best bet for you.

Take for instance, if your aim is to direct a lot of traffic to your website via blogposts and in turn generate leads to your products (trainings, memberships, coaching courses) then your best bet will be to use Pinterest. Instagram does not support inputting links in your posts and may not be the best choice for you.

If you do a lot of videos for information or entertainment, YouTube or Tik Tok will be great for you.

Instagram is all about pictures – catchy images of your products, quotes and great videos will quickly fetch you good engagement and quick following.

Twitter is also a great place to sell products and they support links which can redirect potential customers to your website.

A lot of younger people (18 to about 35 years old) are mainly on Tik Tok, Instagram and Facebook.

Also remember with Facebook you can join groups around your interest, create pages or groups, sell your products and so much more.

If you are trying to build a professional brand, get a job, find freelance gigs, then LinkedIn would be a better option.

Tracking your Progress

Once you decide on which platform to use for your marketing campaign, then you need to start tracking your progress.

1. Check which posts are getting lots of engagements (likes, shares and saves) and reinforce more on those.

2. What time of the day do people respond to your posts. Try creating challenges, polls and see when people respond.

3. Check how your ads are doing if you run ads.

4. If you do use a WordPress site, you can actually track your site and pages progress and see which pages get redirected from your social media platform. You should also monitor your backlinks.

5. You can also use Google Analytics or Bing Webmaster Tools to track your website traffic and how your social media platform is performing in terms of redirecting.

How do you Make Money from Social Media?

Once you find your niche and decide on the platform which best fits your brand – then you can monetize the platform. The following tips will help you monetize your platform the right way:

1. Optimize your Bio on any platform you so choose:

Make sure you use the right keywords that describes what you do. This will help a lot in conversions. Check out the following handles to see how their bios are well explained.

3. Make sure what you are selling is what people are currently looking for and wanting to buy.

4. Build a following by consistently posting or tweeting messages that add value. Quote retweets or reposts. Responds to questions and comments and remind people of your product once in a while.

5. You can advertise products on your Instagram or Facebook page as an affiliate or influencer marketer.

Ensure you use interesting images for your pins and your letterings are bold enough for people to want to click, save the pin and then read the article.

Adding at least one social media platform into your marketing strategy for your business will definitely increase your brand exposure and awareness.

There are so many platforms you can integrate your social media platforms with that can help track and monitor your progress. Examples of such are Campaign Monitor, Vonza, ConvertKit, Mailchimp just to mention a few.
